Ta Dzong

It is the state-of-the Art Museum which allows visitors to relive history of Bhutan through the display of masks and costumes for the sacred dances, various statues of Buddhas, the shrine of Ling Gesar, the epic hero, belongings of the kings, and so on. The watchtower was built by the first Governor of Trongsa, Chogyal Minjur Tempa, in 1652 to protect against internal attack on the Trongsa Dzong from internal rebellions.
